What are Flex Passes?
If you've ever wanted to sell season tickets but got stuck on the complexities and logistics Flex Passes might be a great solution. Flex Passes are groups of tickets you can pre-sell to patrons who can then exchange them for event tickets or gift them to others. You have full control over how the flex tickets can be used, which events to exclude, and when they expire.
They make a great fundraiser. You can even grant flex tickets to volunteers and cast and crew so you don't have to manage comps yourself.
Creating a Flex Pass
Click the Flex Passes link in the side bar. From here you can create as many flex passes as you want. Let's create a season flex pass.
Choose a name and description for your Flex Pass and click Create.
Setting Flex Pass Limits
You can set the following limits on your flex pass:
Max Ticket Value
This is the maximum ticket price that flex tickets will cover. If a ticket is more expensive than this value the patron will have to pay the difference.
Expiration Date
The last date that the flex pass can be used. We send regular balance and reminders to patrons when their flex passes will expire soon.
Max Uses Per Event
The maximum number of flex tickets a patron can redeem for single event.
Max Uses Per Series
The maximum number of flex tickets a patron can redeem across an event series.
Creating Custom Packages
You can create as many packages as you'd like. Each package has a name, the number of tickets, and a price.
Flex Package Scopes
You can control which events and tags to include in the flex pass, or exclude specific events and tags.
Selling Flex Passes
You can sell flex passes from your Stageworks portal or embed the flex pass widget directly on your website.
Patrons can see their flex ticket balance in the portal. When they purchase tickets they are automatically prompted to redeem their flex tickets. Patrons can gift flex tickets to their friends and family right from the portal.
Granting Flex Tickets
Once you've created a flex pass you can grant flex tickets to anyone without them having to buy them.
This makes it easy to send flex tickets to the press or for sending comps to volunteers or crew members.
