How to cancel an event and handle refunds for your patrons

It happens. Despite our best efforts sometimes the show cannot go on. Here's a step by step guide to cancelling an event that you've already sold tickets for.

Choose the event to cancel

Go to the Events page and click on the event series that you want to cancel. Find the event in the dates tab. Click the cancel action button.

You have 3 options for refunds. You can issue refunds to all patrons who purchased tickets online or processed payment through Stageworks. You can issue credits which patrons can use to purchase tickets later on. Or you can cancel without refunds.

If you want, you can provide some additional information about the cancellation. This note will be included in the email notification to all ticket holders.
